What were the primary beliefs behind the "House of Refuge movement", and which do you think were the most consequential accomplishments (positive and negative) of this movement? Explain.
The primary belief house of Refuge movement is juvinile reformatory .The reformatory is private funded recieviing only guidence and councelling, supervision and funded from other state agencies .
It was concieved as alternative to the traditional practice to sending juvenile in adult .penitentiaries .These institution intend to refrom juvenile offenders rather than punish .it's beliefs that juvenile children need diffrent kind of approach for reformation which will not be appropriate in adult prison .
step 2
The most consequental accomplishment of this movement is juvenile children were provide combination of milita drill , physical excersize for keeping fit mentally and physically , training for industrial and agricultural career and instructions of morality and religion .so this movement helps to understand that juvenile should not mixed and treated as like adult criminal .They should give wide oppertunity to refrom their self and make self dependent .Because they are psychologically stable to do any any crime .so the most consequental accomplishment is to provide oppertunity for self realization , to make self -relient , and as worthy member of society through reformation.
