Write 450 words analysis about Mike Traxinger and his role and career at Agtegra. Also, Briefly Explain what Agtegra do.
This is a life lesson that this fifth generation farmer from South Dakotan brought to his new position as president of the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA) and his role as the first general counsel and director of governmental affairs for Agtegra Cooperative, an agricultural cooperative founded by, and for, farmers and ranchers.
Traxinger has worked on and completed six mergers and acquisitions since coming on board in 2014 including new business divisions focused on aerial applications, fertilizer production, feed, fuel, truck and auto centers, and propane which has helped Agtegra to extend its product and service offerings to its membership.
Of course one of his first mergers was the creation of Agtegra Cooperative itself. The move put two farmer-owned cooperatives together in 2018 the 95-year-old South Dakota Wheat Growers Association in Aberdeen, and Ipswich's 102-year-old North Central Farmers Elevator. Agricultural life in the upper plains can be difficult, and a cooperative provides economic gain to those who work together. Created to meet the needs of farmers and ranchers across the Dakotas, Team Agtegra tackles everything from improving the group's buying power for seeds and fertilizers to helping members get the best prices for their grain. It also helps with services such as chemical applications and introducing people to new agricultural technologies.
Agtegra Cooperative promotes agricultural sustainability through the best science and technology applications in an attempt to help farmers grow a free, stable, and abundant supply of grain in an economically viable system.
