question #1
Describe the three of the ethical traps that business communicators often face when making ethical decisions and give a workplace-related example of each.
The 3 of the ethical traps that business communicators often face when making ethical decisions are:
1. The false necessity trap: In this people generally believe that what they are doing is the only option they have whereas actually they are making a decision which is the most convinient to them or it is the most desirable action for them. For example, Selling a less efficient product without even trying to work upon improving it's efficiency.
2. The doctrine of relative fifth trap: Some of the unethical behaviours might look good when compared to the behaviour of the others in the workplace. This makes one believe that their actions are not unethical. For example, If someone uses office printer for personal use and prints loads of pages, then you printing a few would not seem like unethical.
3. The rationalisation Trap: In this people generally try to justify their unethical behaviour with excuses. For example, Using your office hours to search for a new job.
