The economic forces of increase in opportunities, because of higher chances of making a profit when there was a gold rush in California, led to more diversity as in order to make profits, people started coming in from all over the world so as to exploit the resources and this increased the level of opportunities.

Plus California was a part of Mexico till the 19th century, which later on became a part of U.S and thus there are several mexicans in california.

African americans were also major capitalists in the economy as they were famous for their literary works, which increased their social respect and standing in the society. Plus Asians also immigrated and were famous for their novels and development of farms.

The assimilation of various classes and each benefiting from the prosperity which this state had to offer, because of higher demand for resources led to increase in more opportunities and prosperity being spread across all classes in the economy.

Many of the citizens are pioneers in terms of art and literature, this field leads to more economic prosperity as there is no market control, art and literature is all based on emotion, which brings people together, this coalesced the society in California, plus the rich diversity and famous people belonging to varied groups led to inclusion and the diverse state it has turned out to be and still remains.

It is still progressive and has not lost its diversity because of this characteristic and with there being lots of economic factors prevalent, with higher demand because of higher population, this increases prosperity of the state to a great extent.

To this day there are several prosperous people living in this state, plus the progressive nature with various transformative laws being passed have generated more diversity as they are inherently acceptable in such a society without any inhibitions.
