Are women a global caste?

If we consider the group 'women and girls' throughout history and across every country, is there something that the people in this group have in common (or are likely to have in common) such that we'd want to be able to talk about them for political purposes? Or is this group just too big, or too heterogeneous?

Expert Solution

Yes clearly women are global caste . So represent a group which face similar kind of ordeals all around the world .There condition is similar all around the world . We can explain this using different examples both in the political and economic sphere . The discriminaton and the misogynistic attitude towards this group is similar everywhere and can be seen throughout history . For example the gender wage gap is present all around the world though it is lees in some countries but it is present everywhere . It is a global phenomena . The gender based inequality and discrmination which women have to face is present all over the world and in every society . Nwo coming to the political sphere we can see the political representation of women in every country is very less when compared to men . Women do most of the unpaid labour work . We can talk about gender equality , wage gap , domestic violence commonly for women and girls. We can take the recent case of Covid 19 when domestic violence cases rose up . Whole women community was the victim of this around the world . Politically these women issues can be raised commonly because they face similar problems everywhere in the world .Only the level or severity of problems is less but the nature is the same everywhere . Treating them on a common platform will help us to raise our voices against the injustice that is done to them
