WOULDN’T EUTHANASIA AND ASSISTED SUICIDE ONLY BE AT A PATIENT’S REQUEST? WRITE YES OR NO AND DEFEND YOUR ANSWER

Yes, Euthanasia or assisted suicide should always be at the request of the patient himself and no other person shall be able to take decision for another man's life. The situation like Euthanasia and assisted suicide has a legal and ethical consideration to be made first before making any decisions on patient life. The variability of Euthanasia laws an its legality in certain countries further complicates the matter. Personally, it is highly unethical and morally wrong for a human being to request for an extreme step such as Euthanasia. If at all Euthanasia is to be considered then of-course the decision has to be entirely of the patient's request without any forceful coercion or influence. As it is literally a matter of life and death, the decision has to be always at the patient's request and opinion or authority of other people or relatives should never be considered.

COULD EUTHANASIA OR ASSISTED SUICIDE BE USED AS A MEANS OF HEALTH CARE COST CONTAINMENT? WRITE YES OR NO AND DEFEND YOUR ANSWER.

No, Euthanasia or assisted suicide should never be used as a means of healthcare cost containment. Euthanasia shall ethically and morally be never considered in the first place but if the patient has been at the hospital facility for a long time and cost of healthcare is higher and requires to be contained then killing a person to save costs is not a legal, ethical or morally correct mode of action. The hospital or healthcare facility can consider seeking funding to the medical council, philanthropists, NGO's, social service organizations and other relevant authorities but should never used the means such as Euthanasia or assisted suicide to contain healthcare costs
