PFAS: PFAS means Per and polyfluoroalkyl substances are a group of synthetic chemicals , have been in use from 1940s and are resistant to heat , water and oil. They are mostly used in consumer products like food packaging, stain repellents , non stick pans etc. Exposure to high levels of PFAS can produce adverse health effects in human beings.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends to educate Health care providers regarding the risk from PFAS contamination. When speaking to healthcare providers, first of all present and explain the results of various tests conducted in the labs. As still researches are going on regarding the Adverse effects of PFAS, more evidences are needed for mass public education. Health care providers have to understand the significant of the risk in exposure to PFAS.
