10. What are the different types of replication topologies?
1. The special boot image that creates an
install image from a reference
computer is "Capture Image".
2. There are two methods for adding computers
to WSUS groups. They are:
server-side targeting and client-side targeting. With server-side
targeting,
one or more client computers is manually moved to one computer
group at a time.
With client-side targeting, Group Policy is used or the registry
settings is edited
on client computers to enable those computers to automatically add
themselves
into the previously created computer groups.
3. It is recommended that WSUS should be
synchronized with Windows Update Server
at least once every 24 hours at an off peak time. Also, if
Definition updates are
approved automatically, then the server should be synchronized at
least 2-3 times daily.
4. WDS properties tab used to specify whether
all clients should be delivered
images at the same speed or in groups at different speeds is
"Multicast".
5. The Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP)
server.TFTP is the protocol used
to download the bootimage, and to boot files, when used with
WDS.
6. WSUS server mode which centralizes administration of update approvals and client groups is "Replica mode".
7. Group policy assigns clients to different
target WSUS groups based on a
label in the registry on the client.
8. To target specific computers for different types of updates, custom groups should be created.
9. DFS link points to a shared folder on a server.
10.There are two types of replication: intrasite replication and intersite replication.
