military or defense plays an important role in the economic development.though military might not contribute directly to the economy but it is a very vital sector which protect all the economic activity in the country and thus a huge part of GDP is spent in major countries to maintain the expenditure on defense.

• stabilizing economic activities- military stabilize the economy against the fluctuations and the adverse impact from the external sources.it prevent the society from the fluctuation arises due to the various issue concerned with the international issues.
• prevention from external stress and threat- in case of war or any international crisis the military protects the economy from the external stress.
• peace and ease of doing business-because of defense all the economy activities can take place.it provides an assurance of safety and because of it the economy functions smoothly.
• social contribution - defense sector provide employment to general public and it helps the society at the time of casualty.
