Why is this false?
IDF curves, becoming more accurate when correlated with areal photography (e.g., photos captured via airplane, etc), yield average rainfall depths for a given watershed serving as another way to validate averaging techniques such as the Thiessen methods.
● IDF curves, becoming more accurate when correlated with areal photography:-
This statement is false beacuse only areal photography is not sufficient to make INTENSITY-DURATION- FREQUENCY (IDF) curve more accurate so if we want to get more accurate IDF Curve we should use both areal photography as well as ground topography by surveying the ground method by survey crew on site.
● Yield average rainfall depths for a given watershed serving as another way to validate averaging techniques such as the Thiessen methods:-
We know that in thiessen polygon method we use the rainfall data of area of watershed for calculation of average value of rainfall for any point in catchment by given formula.
So that it is false beacuse yield average rainfall depths is direct average value found from any rain gauge but in thiessen method we get average value of rainfall for any point from averaging values of rainfall in any area of watershed.
if helpful give ?.
thank you.
