Solutions

Expert Solution

1. A. Rain fall

Explanation - Population density is the number of individuals per unit area or it is the change in pupulation size. Population density is the result of interaction of the processes that adds individuals to the population and that removes individuals from the population.

Rain fall is a physical factor that influence population density. The water availability of an ecosystem is largely dependent on the rain fall of that area. Rain fall provides a reliable water source and it encourage population density. Plants and animals can grown in abundance in the areas where water availability through rain fall is high

2.D. Overpopulation results in increased waste and environmental pollution.

Explanation - Overpopulation means the undesirable increase in the number of individuals of an existing population. Over population crosses the carrying capacity. Carrying capacity is the maximum number of individuals that a population can hold. Overpopulation have many bad effects such as depletion of natural resources, degradation of environment, green house effects, deforestation, ozone depletion, pollution, disease occurance etc. Over population badly affect both developed and developing countries.
