Social order (in other words, keeping within your social class) was very important to the early arrivals in North America. Why do you think these settlers wanted to keep the same type of social classes that were practiced back in Europe? What does that say about their attachment to their homeland and the future of this country?

Expert Solution

The social order mentioned above came to existence when Europeans came to America and established their colony and they made economic development through slaves who were brought from the African continent. The imperial and colonial conquest made the Europeans bring in a social order suitable for their economic exploitation. The capitalist class that prevailed in Europe always wanted to maintain a social order based on the survival of fittest and fittest always wanted them to be fit than others.

On the other hand, we see other sections of the same society, who were being exploited for years trying to come up and ask for equal treatments and positions as the dominant class. These dominant classes saw these struggles as a hurdle to their hegemony rather than as a basic need.

Today's America is the dream which was seen by many prominent leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr, Abraham Lincoln. Well even after years of a long struggle and discussions its sad that those hatreds and anger still exist within people. The frustration of losing the hegemony still exit, fear of being exploited still exist, fear of winning and losing still exist. Justice exists in the midst of this as vague and unrealistic truth.

Death of George Floyd which created a range within people provoking them to set two stores on fire followed by looting of many stores shows the clear picture of racism, anger, frustration, hatred ect. which shows how fresh is the pain of being neglected and how people and enduring those feeling within them
