There is a presence of more number of locally elected officials, because people have turned out for voting and they have opted to elect local people. It is done due to their detailed understanding of the local issues faced by people and if these candidates are selected, then they can help sort out these issues, and or raise the concerns at higher platform.

There is an impact in different ways. The first way is the effective communication made by the local elected officials with the voters and sensitize them to come out for voting. Voters will understand the importance and significance of election process. The second way is the spread awareness in those specific areas where the voter turnout is low. since the elected officials are local, then they know these areas and build awareness and power of their votes. It will increase the voter turnout. The third way is to raise the local issues and making people know that elections are the way to exert their rights and elect people who can solve their problems with utmost responsibilities. It helps voters come out and vote during the election process.
