Expert Solution

Within our democratic system, an interest group plays an important role. A community of people who share a common opinion of a particular issue is an interest group. We will hire lobbyists who will meet with elected local, state, and/or national officials to express their members ' views on a particular issue. We will try to encourage the elected official to vote in the way the group needs them to vote and/or push them. During trials, the lobbyists could also testify and share the group's opinion.

There are several different types of classes of concern. Legal interest groups such as the American Bar Association or the National Association for Education exist. There are groups of public interest like the Sierra Club, which works to advocate for issues that help protect the environment. This group works for what they think is in the best public interest. There are also business-interest groups working to advocate for the interests of different companies and industries.

Groups of interest can be very strong. They will contribute to people's campaigns running for office. They will endorse candidates and encourage those candidates to vote for them. The National Rifle Association is a very powerful and influential interest group as this group represents many Americans and is capable of contributing a lot of financial resources to races that are closely challenged. Groups of interest play a large role in our political system.
