Are you prepared to teach diverse texts? Are you sensitive to individual learning and social needs? Are you prepared to build a community of students within and beyond the classroom for the sake of students’ language growth and learning?

There are several reasons why teaching multi-cultural and diverse texts is of importance in the current times. This is primarily because we live in a multi cultural society where it is of utmost importance to be able to relate with and understand multiple cultures. This is also important so that people are not ignorant about the different ways in which we are meant to respect the other cultures. Personally speaking, I have always been sensitive about other cultures and all the practices and beliefs that are associated with these cultures. That is the prime reason why I feel I am eligible and ready to teach these diverse texts.
Multiculturalism is also about peaceful coexistence where multiple cultures which may also be fundamentally different from each other can mutually co exist and respect each other. If this does not happen, then a certain niche is always filled by the fringe which always tries to destroy the peace loving fabric of the society. To prevent such things from happening, it becomes a matter of utmost importance to teach the students about multiculturalism so as to build a community which respects all.
