Ford motor company , commonly known as Ford, is an American multinational automaker that has its main headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit . It was founded by Henry Ford and Incorporated on June 16,1903.

The part of the SWOT analysis shows the organizational constraints or inadequacies,which are internal strategic factors that reduce business potential. Ford's major weakness are , limited global scope of production network. Higher costs compared to competitors and slow innovation process. Ford has achieved consistent profitable growth based on smart leadership and management. Ford now aims to become the world's most trusted mobility company. Ford is planning for a smarter future and this will require consistent focus on operational efficiency.

Problems faced by Ford are:

  • 1) weak earnings/ restructuring costs
  • 2) weak guidance
  • 3) weak sales
  • 4) union talks
  • The stock ,while sales of Ford's F-series pickups have been strong for years , the auto industry is inherently cyclical and eventually we are going to see a slowdown.
