Discuss the various sources of ideas for legislative proposals.
The ideas for legislative proposals come from different sources including legislators including representatives and senators, executive staff, interest groups, private organizations and individuals. Though the ideas may come from different sources but the legislators need to introduce every bill before Congress. The Legislators would use the experience they gained through learning and working with different people in the community as well as the knowledge of different law systems around the world. They can better identify the proposals that would help to improve the issues faced by a particular field. The ideas are taken from various organizations including American Bar association and various health organizations are taken as they can provide opinion on developing legislations that would help the community. President and other executive members also may provide drafts of proposed bills to the legislators. The law used in neighboring states is also considered by the law organizations and legislators by making appropriate changes to those laws through editing. The interest group opinion is considered to develop legislations that would protect the social and economic interests of various groups. The individual opinions also act as a source and the individuals provide their opinions on issues in which they are particularly interested.
