Respond to a salesperson who dresses the way he or she wants to on a sales call because the salesperson believes that no one has the right to mandate what to wear.

Solutions

Expert Solution

I do not agree with the belief of the salesperson who believes that no one has the right to mandate what to wear because it can be applicable in the personal life but when he is representing the company in front of the client then he should be trying to work in the interest of company rather than working in the interest of himself so as an employee of the company it should be trying to present the best ethical standard as desired by the company in order to influence the customers

Hence, He should be dressing according to the professional dress code which is followed in the company because as a professional he is representing the best interest of the company and he should be trying to maximize the interest of the company, by presentation of the company in the best possible way and he should follow the ethical code of conduct of the company rather than following his personal belief and hence he should be following with the professional dress code.
