No single theory can explain the behaviour of all crowds. Discuss. (Answer in less than 1000 words)
A theory refers to a set of ideas regarding an event or phenomenon. A theory is the first stage of explaining an event. It is then followed by testing and proving the theory. Theories needs to be proven to be accepted. Whenever a new phenomenon is witnessed, theorists, scientists and researchers come up with plausible theories of what it is, what causes it and what could be the results of the phenomenon. Theory acts as a starting point in dealing with the new phenomenon. Its an idea which gives direction to experimentation and research. Every field of study has its own set of theories explaining its concepts and phenomenon. However theories which seems most likely to be true, which answers most of the questions regarding the phenomenon, and is proven time and again is highly regarded in the field. This does not mean that other theories are discarded. Other theories offer different perspective of the same phenomenon. However, they seem to be incomplete and incapable of answering all the questions regarding the phenomenon. They contain many unanswered criticisms. However, each theory has something to offer, a fresh perspective, filling a small piece of a large puzzle, answering one question about the phenomenon perfectly. Any theory does not answer all the questions, nor explain a particular phenomenon/behavior perfectly but faces criticism for some part of it. On the other hand, a theory cannot be fully rejected/discarded as it may have something to offer. One size fits all concept is not applicable, when comes to theories. No single theory can explain the behaviour of all crowds. Each theory surely has some disadvantages. Behaviour theory does not take into account genetics, while biological theory does not take into account cognitive process. No theory is perfect. Any theory cannot perfectly explain all the phenomenon/behaviour.
