Great Pacific Garbage Patch- It is a collection of marine debris,litter plastic etc. in North Pacific Ocean spread from west coast of America to east coast of japan comprising of west garbage patch located near japan and east patch near Hawaii and California .

Role of Ocean Current- Entire Great Pacific garbage patch is bounded by Noth Pacific subtropical Gyre which is created by ocean current . This Gyre is created by four current - California current , North equatorial current ,Kuroshio current and North Pacific current . In the centre of gyre tend to be stable and calm the circular motion of gyre draw derbies into centre where it become trapped.

Great Nike Sneaker Spill 1990- occurs at 48N and 161W locates in North Pacific Ocean . The shoes washed the shore of British Columbia, Washington,and Oregon. It took around 8 month to arrive . Then arrive into Hawaii coast in summer 1992..

North Pacific current was responsible for transporting shoes from accidents site to coast.
