Maslow identify five basis needs of most human beings and they will be including psychological or basic life survival needs and model progresses in subsequent step through safety and security love and belongingness as well as self esteem and self actualization so he advocated that men will be meeting the needs of first level and he moves towards the next and subsequently he will be moving toward the last and these needs of hierarchy are used in a traditional focus for modern marketing efforts as they will be helpful in determination of the behaviour of the consumers by various marketers and they will be developing the products accordingly.

Maslow advocated that human behaviour and decision-making are always motivated by one of the five need levels in his hierarchy and they can be helpful in exploiting the the consumer motivation by including of need recognition so businesses will be proactively recognising the needs related to various consumers and it can be either related to the life survival needs or safety and security needs or love or belongingness needs and they will be trying to target the customers and help themselves by gaining a higher market share so marketeers are always looking for development of products by inclusion of need recognition.
