disadvantages of private higher education and public higher education for Malaysian Economy.
The first disadvantage of the private higher education is the increased level of cost that reduces the disposable income and it makes spending on other sectors to be reduced. It makes negative impact upon the real output, produced by the Malaysian Economy. The second disadvantage is the poor communities unable to avail the private higher education and it is out of reach for them. It makes bigger divide among different classes in the Malaysian Economy and inequality increases. The third disadvantage is the attention of highly skilled professionals to recover their investments and they lack focus to work for the welfare of people in the country of Malaysia. It hurts the Malaysian Economy.
Though public higher education has its own disadvantages as well. The first disadvantage is lack of quality that can be matched with the private higher education due to poor ratio of number of students to teacher. It creates difference in quality of professionals in the Malaysian Economy and they lack employability skills. The second disadvantage is the lack of ability to generate sufficient revenues for the economy making spending done today to be of more of a loss. It makes contribution to the deficit financing that is not good for the Malaysian Economy.
