Super bug:- Bacteria that develops resistance to multiple drugs is known as superbug. These super bugs commonly seen in hospitals.
Frequent usage of antibiotics results in evolving multi drug resistant bacterial strains in hospitals.
Klebsiella pneumoniae is a bacterial infection causes Mortality to the hospitalised patients and considered as trending superbug in hospitals.
It transmits from one patient to another and it is difficult to control with antibiotics.
Even highest level of antibiotics like Vancomycin etc. are not effective against these multi drug resistant bacterial strains.
Reasons
The hospital beds and blankets contains Bacteria. There is every possibility of patient get infected with infection.
Unhygienic practices by Medical staff
To prevent the infection from different sources, it is imperative to use broad-spectrum of antibiotics.
To prevent transmission of infection from one patient to other patient.
