Expression of Emotions
The psychology of gender can be significantly influenced by interpersonal interactions and environment. You often learn to communicate emotionally from the people around you and the expected social norms in your community.
In this assignment, you will explore your own emotional development and how it has supported your gender expression. You will also learn how expression of emotions has an impact on relationships.
Using the module readings, the online library resources, and the Internet, research emotional development and gender expression.

Explain how the expression of emotion has affected your ability to have successful personal and professional relationships.
Describe what or who has influenced your ability to express emotions successfully.
Describe in which areas of your life you have struggled to communicate emotion. Describe what or who has contributed to the development of these challenges.

Having positive emotions have proved to bring success in one's personal and professional life. People learn healthy ways to deal with stress and problems which strike their lives. They generally feel good about themselves. When a person is at peace with himself/herself their relationship get healthy too.
This brings us to the topic of emotional intelligence which is the ability to identify and regulate one's emotions and understand the emotions of others. A high EQ leads to stronger interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships both personally and professionally.
Generally friends, elders and family members are the main motivators behind making a person express emotions successfully. This is because they either act as role models themselves or have intimate position in the person's ;life, which drives him/her to express emotions successfully.
Negative emotions such as stress, anger, jealousy, sadness, etc gets difficult to communicate. In order to cope with this one requires self management. This is the ability to regulate one's emotions. It could be in the form of delaying response to highly stressful situations rather than impulsively reacting.
Also, empathy and good relationship management goes a long way in dealing with emotions and emotional conflicts.
