Background of the nurse theorist Sister Carolina Agravante
1.Sister Carolina S. Agravante was the first theorist in nursing From Philippine.
2.The theory she gave, about the leadership model is popularly known as CASAGRA Transformative Leadership Model. Sister Carolina pursued her Bachelor Degree in 1964 from St. Paul College of Manilla. Soon after completion of bachelor, she received the license for nursing practice.
2. She accomplished her Masters in Nursing Education from Catholic University of America in 1969. Sister finished her PhD from the University of the Philippines in 2002. Her theory on leadership model also issued in 2002.
3.Later, she worked as the President of St. Paul University in Iloilo. There she educate the subject of research to the senior batch of students. She was also the ex-president of Deans Association in the Philippines College of Nursing. Then, she became a deputation at the International Council of Nursing of Vancouver, Canada. She was one of the prime organiser of the Integrated Registered Nurse in the Philippines.
4.She is the president of St. Paul College, Ilocos Sur currently
HER ACHIEVEMENTS
1. She got the honour of service award from the Philippine Accreditation Association of Schools.
2. She is a life-long member at Philippine Nursing Association.
3. She worked as a committee member at National Council of Educational Innovators.
4. She worked as curator at Catholic Education of Philippine Region in 2001.
5. She worked as a Head in the College of Nursing and Midwifery of De La Salle University in 1977 and in the College of Nursing of St. Paul College.
6. Sister Carolina worked as the Director of St. Paul College of Nursing from 1970 to 1977.
