Standard Language-

A standard language is basically based on the local Dialect.The govrnment of the United states has the power to decide the Standard language for the country. In many purpose the standard language can be used such as in literature, financial purpose and administrative purpose. There are some important causes for deciding a Standard language.

Socail Prestige of the Country

We all know that social reputation is associated with the powerful spoken ability. Most number of educated people likes to transformed their speech into ideal speech for the others.So according to some researches it can be stated that A standard language of the country can increase the socail prestige of the country.

Communication process

The big advantage of having a standard language is easy communication. As we know that a country can have the citizens who are coming from an another country.Setting a standard language helps all the citizent to communicate in a proper way.

As example- The USA having a standard language which is english. So if all the citizens can speak or write in english then communication process will be easy and simple for all of the citizens.

Studies and writing-

A standard language can helps to understand the study material easily. As we all know in USA many students are coming from another countries such as china, India and others. So if The United State sets an official language, the students will have an added advantage while studying .

Not only that Communication in a Standard language helps in interaction between the professors and the students.

As example-When a professor from United states and a colleague from India are communicating in the Standard language English, there will be no difficulty in the whole communication process.

Official Purpose

As we all know all official purposes are very much formal and needs to be done in a formal way. An official language helps the citizen while communicating for official purposes.As we know that we cant use any random language for official purposes. So government needs to decide a Stnadard language for communicating in official purpose(spoken or written)

Conclusion

So after discussing all the advantages of an official lanuage, i can say that United States need to decide an official standard language in which everybody can communicate easily.It not only helps the citizens, it also helps the external visitors from an another country.
