One unique aspect of I/O psychology is its double-sided nature of being both a science and a practice. Why is this considered a major advantage for the field? Which side of the field would be beneficial to your current (or last) work environment?

Industrial Organisational psychology is very important field, and is popular since long time as more and more people are getting into workplace.

Since the theories of industrial psychology can always be put to test, if it works out then good, results can also be immediately seen. Though it is said that I/O work is a thank less job and can not be measured line any other IT work or financial work etc. For eg: during mergers and acquisitions esp. when it happens between companies if two different countries then role of Industrial psychologist is important in making employees understand the differences between the work cultures and how to overcome those. They have also recognised the importance of work life balance, hence today in many companies days such as family day, fun fair are celebrated. Due to all these families do feel part of the group.

As far as my current working environment is concerned btge freedom given of work flexibility is important. Being a mother of a toddler I have to pay attention to him. Hence the change in working hours is important factor which is very well understood by Industrial psychologists.
