what is the concept of bad faith? please explain in a few detailed paragraphs.
''Bad Faith'' is a philosophical Concept, founded by Sir Jean- Paul Sartre.
The Concept of ''Bad Faith'' stated that, We are losing our freedom by the social pressures and other forces.
According to this concept, We always like to choose safe and easy choices to feel safe and fails to findout the other choces which are also available for us.Not only that sometimes we pretend that, we do not have the enough freedom to make a decision or a choice. We prentend to do something in the socail pressures.
Sartre also stated that, we can pretend that, we dont have freedom, but we are unable to pretend our existence. This is our conscious feeling of a human beingss and we cant do anything about our pragmatic concerns or value system. So we can say that, if a person has the bad habit of lying, he always claim that he had lied just because of social pressure, He can pretend as an innocent to the society but will unable to pretend in his own conscious.
As an example- When a Boss made a promise to his worker and has no actual intention to keeping that promise. This can be a example of Bad faith, that i am pretending something in front of other people and in my consciousness i am totally a different kind of human being.
