California under siege
California is a western coastal state of the United States of America , having a population of 39.5 million residents. It is the third largest state by area and the most populous state in the United States. Eventhough the State is blessed with the richest and beautiful cities like Loss Angeles, San Francisco etc and the State is having a very powerful economy, but the wildfires and droughts are frequently attacking the State , which claims the human lives , millions of animals and trees in the forest .
There were a number of titles in the American news papers and channels in the past months ,which reads ' the California State under siege ' , 'California Under Siege ' etc.These titles were indicating the incidence of wildfire attacks in the State California. Due to the drastic changes in the California's climate , the wildfires are becoming more severe and frequent.
2020 witnessed a series of wildfire attacks , as of last month ( October) , 4 ,359,517 acres of forest land got burned, from 8, 836 fires. 32 people got killed and 37 got injured and 10, 488 buildings destroyed due to the wildfires. President Donald Trump declared it as a Federal disaster . Many were concerned, when the 'California commumities under siege from wind - driven wild fires'. Millions of people were evacuated from the affected regions and many buildings got destroyed.
Wlid fire not only cause damage to property , but also causing major Health effects as the smoke from wildfire decreases the air quality drastically. The smoke can travel thousands of kilometres throughout thr continent . Invisible granules in the smoke may get absorbed to the blood stream through inhalation and can cause inflammation of the various parts of the body and also the decreased air quality can cause various respiratory disorders. Summers in California are getting worse climates.
State Government is acting in its fullest potential to stop and prevent further attacks. Federal government has to take more powerful measures to control and prevent the wild fire in coming years.
