Here the oxidation state of Fluorine decreases from 0 to -1 so,
the reduction reaction is F2 → AlF3
Here the oxidation state of chlorine increases from -1 to 0 so,
the oxidation reaction is : AlCl3 → Cl2
(b) An oxidizing agent is the one which oxidizes others and reduces itself..Here F2 oxidizes AlCl3 and reduce itself so the oxidizing agent is F2
(c) A reducing agent is the one which reduces others and oxidizes itself..Here AlCl3 oxidizes F2 and oxidize itself so the reducing agent is AlCl3
