what is a Bland Aerosol ( large volume nebulizer) with mask, face tent, t-piece and trachea collar? Which patient uses this and what is the Literflow and FiO2 for this therapy?

Solutions

Expert Solution

A bland aerosol is filled with gas suspended liquid particles. Either sterile saline or sterile water (even both) can be utilized. The Mask, face tent, t piece, and the trachea collar are used as airway appliances in large bore tubing.

This is usually used in humidity therapy which is a process of using water vapor to an inspired gas for people suffering from respiratory conditions

Humidifiers deliver up to 10 L/min of heated and humidified as in infants and neonatal. FiO2 can be around 0.21 and 1.0.
