Asking a question and Background research: A scientific enquiry begins with asking a question based upon previous observations and available literature.

Generating a hypothesis: Hypothesis is a suggested answer to the framed question and need to be tested by conducting appropriate experiments.

Conducting experiments: the next step in a scientific method is testing hypothesis by conducting experiments and studies. These experiments requires expertise and should be repeated several times in order to prove that the hypothesis is accurate. The experiments should also include appropriate scientific controls.

Analysing Data and Drawing Conclusions: The next step involves collecting the data from the experiments and analysing them using statistical tools, in order to predict that the hypothesis is correct or not. The results are usually communicated to other scientists in the form of posters or scientific papers.
