What four purposes are served by clarifying objectives early in problem-solving process?
Clarifying the problem early in the problem-solving stage allows us to be able to:-
1. Recognize the real problem early on: this allows us to be able to distinguish the problem factors easily on and work towards it rather than blindly searching for the solution to a problem that hasn't been diagnosed.
2. Check the source and observe it with a first-hand account: allows us to check the source of the problem and essentially be able to identify the potential fixed to the problem early on.
3. Easily communicate the problem to the group: it is easier to explain the problem to a group what the objectives are before they start developing the solution to the problem. This saves a lot of valuable time.
4. Allows everybody to work for the same goals together: with a centralized goal, teams do. Not stray from the path and generally work towards reaching the same goal, essentially reducing wastage of time and resources and coming up with quick fixes.
