Explain how partial pressure differences between the cell and the capillary result in the movement of those gases between the cell and the capillary.
Gas exchange simply refers to the movement of oxygen into the blood and carbon dioxide out of blood.ozygen and carbon dioxide moves across the respiratory membrane which include the alveoli cells into the capillary while carbon dioxide moves in opposite direction, hence exchange occurs through the process called diffusion between the cells and capillaries.
Dalton's law partial pressure
At sea level , it is observed that atmosphere pressure is 760mmHg , therefore the partial pressure of oxyfeo would be 160mmHg or 760mmHg x 0.21. suppose if the base at mount everest is about 5000m above sea level and the atmospheric pressure there is only 400mmHg . But there also the concentration of oxygen is still 21perc , the pressure of oxygen is only 84mmHg or 400mmHg x 0.21. so we can see at such a height the partial pressure of oxygen is only 84mmHg which pushes oxygen into the blood in compqrcomp to the 160mmhg of blood .
