As per me, I think the theory of hedonism is the most convincing and satisfactory from the other theory of value.

The theory of hedonism holds that happiness could be a matter of raw subjective feeling. a cheerful life maximizes feelings of delight and minimizes pain. a cheerful person smiles tons, is spirited, bright eyed and bushy tailed; her pleasures are intense and lots of, her pains are few and much between. This theory has its fashionable abstract roots in Bentham's school of thought its contagion in Hollywood diversion, its grossest manifestation in yank consumerism, and one amongst its most subtle incarnations within the views of our fellow positive scientist, Danny Kahneman, who recently won the laurels in political economy. His theory should wrestle with a crucial question: Whose life is it anyway, the experience or the retrospective decide of pleasure?

One basic challenge facing a sensualist is that after we would like somebody a cheerful life (or a happy childhood, or maybe a cheerful week), we have a tendency to don't seem to be simply desire that they accumulate a pot of pleasures, no matter however this total is distributed across one's life-span or its which means for the entire . we are able to imagine 2 lives that contain an equivalent actual quantity of short pleasantness, however one life tells a story of gradual decline (ecstatic childhood, light-hearted youth, dysphonic adulthood, miserable previous age) whereas another could be a tale of gradual improvement (the on top of pattern in reverse). The distinction between these lives could be a matter of their international trajectories and these can not bediscerned from the posture of its individual moments. they'll solely be fathomed by a retrospective decide examining the life-pattern as an entire.

Thanks, hope it will help you.
