Structure of plasma membrane:

According to fluid mosaic model, plasma membrane is made of lipids arranged in a double layer.These lipids contain a hydrophobic (water hating) tail and hydrophyilic (water loving) head.The hydrophilic tail is located innerside and hydrophobic head is exposed out.The complete lipid component contains phosphoglycerides,proteins and carbohydrates.
