Discuss the major developments and events of the Cold War.

The Cold war was fought for almost 50 years between the US and the then USSR.The starting was considered just after the end of World war 2nd and last upto the disunification of USSR.It was primarily called the cold war because during this struggle no physical struggle happened,It was primarily a verbal spat between both the countries and retaliatory sanctions were impossed on rival countries.During this Struggle the world was divided into two halved The western bloc and the Northern bloc.

There were various events which somehow works in adding more fire in this struggle.

(1) The change in the currency for the Deutschmark in 1948 by the US and Britain was a shock to Soviet Union and they soon retaliate as well by cutting off all links between West germany and West berlin.

(2) The Sputnik crisis in 1957 was not a provoking gesture by the USSR,they simply launched their 1st artificial satellite,But somehow American feels that they might also launch a Nuclear attack on them by using the same propelent.

(3) Cuban Missile crisis in 1962 was one of the major incidents which change the whole dicourse of this Struggle between the US and USSR. After this incident the, A new race of Missile debelopment began between both the countries.

Major developments :-

The inclusion of NPT in the charter which clearly indicates about the limitation of the Nuclear arms in the world for maintaing Peace and Harmony in the world.The US And The USSR both signed it in 1968.But They somehow works internally for strenghtening their Nuclear arsenal.
