For the detailing purposes, it is possible to include texts in the drawings drawn on AutoCAD. The texts in drawings are used to specify the type, different dimensions of the drawings, the purpose of drawing etc.. In Autocad, it is very easy to insert texts inside the drawing.
To insert text, just select the text icon from the home tab in AutoCAD. There you can select between single-line text or multi-line text from the dropdown arrow near the test symbol based on your requirements. Single-line and multi-line texts are easily understood from their name itself. To insert a single line text, you have to specify the text height and text alignment just by clicking with your mouse. In the case of Multiline text, you have to specify a column where you want to insert the text.
Another way to insert a text is by using commands in Autocad. MTEXT command is used to insert multiline text whereas the TEXT command is used to insert single line text.
You can edit the text entered by just double-clicking the text and you can relocate the text entered by simple dragging and dropping.
In order to change the properties of texts entered inside the drawings, just press right-click in the mouse over the text you need to alter and select properties from the menu appeared. In the new dialogue box, you can alter many of the text properties such as color, text height, text alignment, width, the spacing between characters, style, and so on.
Hope that it is clear for you and it really helped you.
