Expert Solution

How do you make a solenoid (coil) with 3D printer.

The solenoid requires the most post-processing. Each solenoid should be wrapped 400 times with 26AWG magnet wire. This process can be expedited by turning the solenoid on a drill. Make sure that each solenoid is wrapped in the same direction so that the resulting electromagnet is of the same polarity. Once the solenoids are prepared, they should be snapped into the top enclosure.

I am trying to make a solenoid coil with 3D printer. Coils are used for an abundance of projects, but are not very easy to make. Often, coils require 100's and sometimes 1000's of turns. Doing this by hand which is extremely difficult. So, I made my own coil winding jig that uses a pedometer to automatically count how many turns the coil is.

I used my 3D printer to manufacture many of the parts used to build this jig. A 3D printer is not necessary but will make the project easier to build. I will also include the 3D files.

Finally, I made a manually operated coil winder that takes advantage of a cheap pedometer and a micro switch to automatically count how many turns are in a coil.

The following materials we need to make the solenoid coil which are given below as -

  • Magnet wire 26 to 28 gauge.
  • 12 Volt Battery
  • Rs.2 Coin
  • Empty pen plastic pipe
  • Marker pen
  • PCB Drill hand machine
  • Small file
  • Cutter blade
  • Scale ruler
  • Wiring casing camping Patti
  • Heavy duty scissors

A detail instruction which are helpful to make a solenoid coil given as -

Step 1 : Take an empty pen plastic pipe. Mark the 6 centimeter / 2.36 inch from scale ruler. Then, make the round from marker.

Step 2 : Now, cut the Both marking point from small cutter. Always remember, Cut it carefully.

Step 3 : Take the wiring casing capping Patti and to put the coin Rs.2.

Step 4 : Round its outside the marker. Make its two round.

Step 5 : Cut the marking round from the Heavy duty scissors.

Step 6 : Take the two cutting round. Make its polish from small file or sand paper. To clear the border of this two round.

Step 7 : Make the small hole from PCB Drill hand machine for the starter point of the magnet wire.

One hole is the start point of magnet wire which its a positive point and another hole is end point of magnet wire which its a negative point.

Step 8 : Last take the two round making from the plastic casing capping wiring Patti. Make the correct hole of middle of this two plastic round. Put it on the both side of an empty pen plastic pipe. Put the two droops from feviquick of the both side of this two round. Make the sure, its fit for the plastic pipe.

Wait 1 minutes and winding the magnet wire for this plastic coil. Be sure its a 600 turns.

I need a short and clear opinion so I can understand the question and make my own opinion Writing in the 19th century, the British economist Thomas Malthus argued that the law of diminishing marginal returns implied eventual misery for humanity because, in the case of agriculture, there is a fixed amount of available land and additional labor would only yield ever smaller increases in food production. The inevitable result, as Malthus saw it, was that population growth would eventually...
