On Feb 24 2014, the Today Show stated that women spend an average of 55 minutes a day on their appearance, based on a Today/AOL Ideal to Real Body Image Survey. It is Prof Woo’s impression that college students will take less amount of time to get ready in the morning, since he recalls his days of just rolling out of bed and heading straight to class during his college days. He conducted a survey from his Spring 2017 Stat 2120 class to see if UVa students take less than 55 minutes, on average, to get ready in the morning. Download the morning sp17.xlsx dataset for this homework set. The variable “morning” is the amount of time, in minutes, respondents say they take to get ready in the morning.
