The quality of the baked goods is primarily responsible for the increased number of stores that handle Van Dalen products. The firm’s human resources department recently conducted a study to determine the effectiveness of its performance appraisal program. On the basis of findings of study, the personnel director has decided to investigate the possibility of changing from a graphic rating scale method to results-oriented scale.

Some advantages result oriented work schedule are as follows
Flexibility
As there are no specific working time for result oriented work environment, it provides a very flexible working environment to the Employees which increases the overall compatibility level as well as comfort level of employees resulting better satisfaction and improved thinking for mitigating the problems. Flexibility help and employee to work according to their comfort zone and to maximize their productivity.
Result focus
It does not require an employee to consistently come to the workplace but it requires that the results are according to the needs. Which type of flexibility and proper focus on result definitely helps an organisation to grow by creating a proper management with no restrictions for the employees.
Location benefits
An employee of the organisation can work anywhere they want. It does not require that employee must come to the workplace for their job. Which type of approach increases the overall efficiency of the system as employee can work from wherever they want which decreases the level of absenteeism inside the organisation.
Some disadvantages of result oriented structure are as follows
Loss of synergy
As there is no face to face communication between two employees and there are no actual meeting between the employees which directly reduces the overall effectiveness of Idea generation and results in loss of synergy for the overall strategic implementation.
Service
If a result oriented work environment is poorly implemented then it would drastically reduce the overall effectiveness of the service being provided by the company. As controlling service oriented work environment is very tough because of the lack of communication in the different process and steps. It decreases the overall availability of different service provision from the organisation as employees does not meet up to the requirement for creating a specific result.
Delay
It is one of the main part which affect the overall efficiency of result oriented 1 structure. As there is very less communication between the employees, inefficiency of one employee can lead to delay in the whole project including many people. This is one of the most important drawback which should be focused while creating result oriented work environment for an organisation.
