Since 2010, some of the provisions have been implemented while others have not. In this assignment, you will report on the potential issues that could affect how the law is fully implemented, summarizing your thoughts about potential issues related to healthcare policymaking process in the United States.
Affordable Care Act has started to give care for lower-income families and to eliminate disparities. But it still faces many problems in implementation. Insurance market becomes declined and payers are not satisfied with the insurance exchange. The healthcare spending going faster than per capita income. ACA limits the package of benefits and worsens the ordinary citizens of the Americans. The biggest problem is it creates the out of pocket cost. Healthy people have to need to pay premiums. Consumers with chronic illness are charged with more premiums. Penalty further burden the consumers. They need to pay for the services of immunization and screening program. The government has met high financial losses on exchanges. People are changed to lower monthly premiums even though it leads to out of pocket coverage. Most of the people lost their employment-based insurance. Some of the insurance companies canceled their plans. It denies the coverage of pre-existing condition. The policymakers still need to reform the plan and correct the issues for the benefits of Americans.
