Salvatore is a 15-year-old male who plays multiple sports. As he grows, he is noticing although taller; his weight is in the 5th percentile for his age. He was asked to play varsity soccer in the fall for school and wants to gain muscle hypertrophy. Salvatore also has limited flexibility that causes his patellar tendon to inflame, causing patellar tendinitis. His mother hires you to train him; what type of program would you prescribe to Salvatore (remember he is still in his growing stages)? Is it essential for him to have better flexibility and if so, how would you assist him in becoming more flexible?

the disease needs immediate care and attention. as a trainer first i need to observe the physical abilities, and flexibility. as per the above description, i can suggest several simple exercises to tray at home. soccer is highly athletic. it needs physical strength and high stamina. so the training should be for a long period in order to attain better result.

for the beginning, i suggest several exercises . these exercises should repeat morning nd evening. for step- up (15 nos) , prone hip extension(15), clam exercise (10) and straight leg rise (20)

walking minimum of 2 km in morning and evening at a slow pace help to increase legs flexibility. after running keep warming the body with simple exercises. relaxation time is essential after exercises.

after a week after examining the progress decline single -leg squat , rectus femoris stretch , quadriceps stretch etc.. can be initiated. the number should be determined according to his progress.

be patient for the progresses and it will help you to attain physical Stability which is essential for soccer.
