I wanted to test the effect of exercise on people with depression. I chose 30 people who suffered from depression and divided them to two groups, one who exercised for 30 minutes a day while the other group who didn’t do any exercise. They were observed for 30 days and I administered a survey questionnaire to collect the results. The responses of the group that exercised had become more positive and they felt much happy and the depression is over or has decreased for many.
1. Regular exercise improves one’s positivity and reduces depression on a long run.
2. The dependent variable was depression
3. The independent variable was exercise
4. The experimental condition was 30 minutes outdoor exercise.
5. The control condition will not do any exercise
6. The family support that they get during these 30 days period is really important because as soon as the reach home an unsupportive family could ruin the momentum gained through exercise.
