The advancement of technology has brought a drastic change in the lifes of human beings. Lets start from traditional way of living and compare to the present world to have a better insight of technology and its impact on us and our environment.
Earlier, everything was humanized and manual but now there are machine interaction in our day to day life. Everything we see around us involves one or more type of technological implementation. Starting from home furnishing to commuting to the workplace, we see ourselved surrounded with technology. There is no doubt that technology has enabled us to change our environments.
One such example is introduction of self driving cars. Though not fully functional, but still prevalent in some beta phases, self driving cars will change our environment for good. This will help us to be more stringent with respect to following the traffic rules and guidelines as automated driving will be lesser error prone and more rules oriented.

It is symbiotic and cooperative as both humans as well as the machine/technology can grow in each others existence and cooperation. Technology can grow as there are changes of advancement and improvement in the implementation and new features will be rolled out after having a hands on interation with the humans.
Humans can grow as it will benifit them having lesser accidents and more rules following vechiles with automated decision making.
