You are a manager for a firm that sells computer and technological equipment through its stores and various online sites. You recently found out that Amazon is releasing a new line of products (through its AmazonBasics line) that are in direct competition with your firm's products. What customer-focused actions would you consider introducing to counter Amazon (and why)?

Introduction of a strong promotional program where the quality of the product is described and consistently providing information regarding the specific products over social media platforms would be the most essential way of operation. As amazonbasics has a great customer base, fighting with the standard competition would be relatively tough. Implementation of a strong promotional program would set a path your product in terms of the quality where the product can be easily differentiated on the basis of quality rather than availability. As Amazon is implementing the new range of products, encouraging previous users to leave feedback for your product over online platforms would directly provide you competitive advantage as the new products implemented by Amazon would not have any kind of reviews regarding their quality. Another factor that is essential is availability of the products that you are selling could be made offline. Does Amazon has a strict operational condition for amazonbasics as an online only retailer, implementing session of a strategy where the the products made by your company is available offline as well as online would increase the overall rate and revenue in the respective marketing environment and it would help you to fight Amazon in the respective business environment.
