1.Can the delivery method be immunogenic?
Ans:- Yes, Liposome, these are the specialized closed bilayer structures formed by hydrated phospholipids. It is mainly used as artificially delivery systems for drugs or antigens, due to their capability to encapsulate bioactive hydrophilic, amphipathic, and lipophilic molecules into inner water phase or within lipid leaflets. So yes it is immunogenic.
2.Does the delivery method result in the new gene integrating into the genome?
Ans:- yes, Retroviruses. Most are RNA viruses, they carry a gene for a reverse transcriptase enzyme that transcribes the viral genetic material into a double stranded DNA. This DNA intermediate is then incorporated into the host DNA.
3.Is the delivery method efficient (in terms of seeking out cells as targets)?
Ans:- yes, liposomes, mediated transfer is more efficient. Because is carry particular drug for perticular site.
4.Does the delivery method only affect dividing cells?
Ans:- no. It can effect all kinds of cells.
