The Springfield Nor’easters:
Maximizing Revenues in the Minor Leagues
What do you consider to be the key findings of the research survey? Comment on what Buckingham learned about a prospective customer profile, pricing, and single-ticket versus season-ticket packages.
What considerations should the Nor'easters take into account in establishing a pricing policy?
Design a ticket pricing plan for the Nor'easters' first season. Be very specific, and be prepared to explain your assumptions -- especially assumptions of cause and effect -- that underlie your strategy. Should Buckingham offer more than one type of season ticket package? How, if at all, should ticket pricing vary by package type? How, if at all, can Buckingham take advantage of consumer interest in grandstand seating?
Using the pricing plan you have designed and given Buckingham's assumptions about concession sales, will the team reach breakeven in the first year? If not, what options does Buckingham have to reach his target?
1-
There was relatively of large number of findings at Buckingham can use from server. As the first the finding, he has the profile of the potential customers. The basic profile where people who are 26-35 years of age which children have a specific income between $22,500 to $75,000 are more likely to identify games for here or to games but not necessarily a baseball fan. This is specific families are looking for family entertainment. This kind of profile is very helpful in understanding the people coming to the game and the reason behind their visit. It is also assumed of the customer profile that 39% of the population would be specifically willing to go to at least one game in a year air. Is specifically mean that Buckingham can assume that 21,582 people would be coming to the game in the least conditions.
All the finding is is availability of understanding for the customers not willing to pay for the ticket. Most of the customers are not willing to pay more for the premium seating and they are basically willing to pay between 10 to 14 Dollars per game. Single ticket are sold at the maximum scale and there is an assumption that all the attendees are attending begin in substitution of other entertainment options pricing would be set accordingly. There is a very small market for the full season tickets and the prices can be dropped if increment in the demand is needed. All the concession would be we make up for the lowering of the ticket price.
