how I can select the type of lubricant and the lubrication method for bearing ?

answer it all or leave it for another expert , Use table or catalog not typing a google theory and post it here please need to select for design !

By providing lubrication to bearing, we can reduce wear and tear, remove the heat produced due to friction, increase the life, and protect the bearing from contaminants and rest.

There are mainly 4 types of lubrication available for bearing

1. Grease lubrication
2. Oil mist lubrication
3. Air oil lubrication
4. Jet lubrication

Grease lubrication simplifies the main spindle structure more than other lubricating systems. This system can be used over a wide with an adequate amount of quality grease prefilled. But this method does not produce any cooling effect.

Air lubrication is used to cope with the higher speed and precision of the main spindle. Here, compressed air is used to feed lubricating oil in precisely controlled amounts.

In the jet lubrication system, a high-speed jet of lubricant is injected into the bearing from the side. Here there is no power loss

The guidelines for selecting the lubricant are as follows

• When the temperature is less than 100C, grease is suitable, while lubricating oils are preferred for applications where the temperature exceeds 100C.
• When the product of bore (in mm) and speed (in rpm) is below 200000 grease is suitable. For higher values, lubricating oils are recommended
• Grease is suitable for low and moderate loads, while lubricating oils are used for heavy-duty applications
• If there is a central lubricating system, which is required for the lubrication of other parts, the same lubricating oil is used for bearings.
• Oil mist lubrication is used where limited oil feed supply is required like bearings of electric motor, compressor, etc.
• Jet lubrication is used when there are high speed and heavy load exists.
