Definitions
Defines a location and size for an entity.
Aligns two entities.
Defines two entities as 90 degree apart.
Defines a line in the X direction.
Defines an entity equidistant from another entity.
Ans –
Perpendicular, Parallel, Colinear, Fix, Horizontal these are commands in AutoCad.
Matching---
Perpendicular - Defines two entities at 90 degree apart
Parallel – Defines an entity equidistant from another entity
Colinear - Aligns two entities
Fix -- Defines a location and size for an entity
Horizontal - Defines a line in the X direction
These are some of the Geometric constraints applied between two entities in a sketch and control the shape of drawing. AutoCad provides total 12 types of geometric constraints.
1. Horizontal
2. Vertical
3. Perpendicular
4. Parallel
5. Tangent
6. Smooth
7. Coincident
8. CONcentric
9. COLlinear
10. Symmetric
11. Equal
12. Fix
When we use , Horizontal constraint , it forces a selected line or multiple lines or two points horizontal (in x axis direction)
When we use , Parallel constraint , it forces a selected line (second line) to parallel to prior selected line.
When we use , perpendicular constraint , it forces a selected line (second line) to at 90 degrees to prior selected line.
COLliner - When we use , Colinear constraint , it aligns the second entity in alignment with prior selected entity.
Fix – When we select Fix constraint , it defines location and size of entity like line , circle etc
